Location Profile

In order for customers to accurately get in contact with the company it is necessary to set up a location profile. Within the location profile you can implement the following:

  • Turn on or off online ordering

  • Create a personalized broadcast

  • Create a name and website address

  • Edit the store’s address and phone number

  • Write a store description

  • Select the types of orders you accept

  • Preparation time for both pickup and delivery

  • Edit required delivery charges

  • Enable delivery zoning

Turn On/Off Ordering
When you first begin with MenuDrive the first step is to decide whether or not your company wants to have online or mobile ordering turned on or disabled. To enable one or both of these features simply click the on/off switch located under the header “Turn On/Off Ordering:”


Create a name and website address
To add a name for your restaurant location, type the name of your restaurant in the text box.  


It is important to have a website domain name that is.identifiable and memorable for your customers, in order to create a website address type the desired domain name in the text box, then click the button titled “Check Availability?”.

Store address
In order to be found by your customers you will need to enter your location information, to do this enter the correct data in the corresponding drop down menu that relates to country, state, and time zone. Then you will need to enter the physical address, please note that you will not be able to use abbreviations such as (St, Apt, or Dr.).

Phone Number
Apart from the online ordering system, customers may also want to reach you via telephone. Enter your telephone number in the text box next to the “Phone Number:” prompt, this way you will have your number available on the website to help aid customers about their questions or concerns.

Store Description
A store description is an essential piece of the website that allows customers to gain added insight about what it is the company does and how that go about selling their products. The store description is displayed to the customers on the profile page of the website and can be added by writing a description under the “Store Description” section of the profile information tab. In addition the administrator may also use HTML code to include links and also change fonts within the site.

Select the type of order
When an order is placed there are many variables that are involved in determining how work is done within the restaurant. One such variable available is whether or not to accept advance orders or to simply only have orders ready as soon as possible. Radio buttons are available for selecting which type of service best fits your company structure.

In addition to selecting the time frame of orders you also have the option to have only pickup, only delivery, or both pickup and delivery in place for the restaurant.

Log onto admin control panel

Under location settings select location panel

Scroll down to: What type of orders do you accept?



If available: select Only Pickup, Only Delivery, Both Pickup & Delivery

If available: select the options for N/A, with Curbside, with Dine-In, or with both Curbside & Dine-In

Pickup
If you decide to have either only pickup or both pickup and delivery selected you will be presented the option to implement the option for customers to pick up with curbside, dine-in, and both curbside and dine-in. By accepting pickup orders you now have another setting that notifies customers how much time it will take to prepare their order. This gives you control to decide which type of orders you are willing to accept and how you will be able to accommodate them.

If pickup orders are available

· Scroll to the option of How much time do you need to prepare a pickup order?

· Under the title is the Notice for Pickup number boxes

· Set the boxes for the appropriate time span to prepare an online order for a pickup order.


Delivery
If your company decides they want to deliver and or pickup and deliver the product to the customer, you would then need to decide how long it will take to prepare and deliver the product to the customers location.

If your company decides to deliver there is an option that will restrict the customer’s order if they fall below the required minimum amount for the delivery. In addition there is a setting that allows for a delivery charge to be as a percent of the total order or simply as a fixed dollar amount. A corresponding radio button is in place to determine if you want the delivery charge to be based on the subtotal either before or after the discounts are applied.

If delivery orders are available:

1. Scroll to the option of how much time do you need to prepare AND deliver and order?

2. Under the title is the Notice for Delivery number boxes

3. Set the boxes for the appropriate time span to prepare and deliver an online order for a delivery.

If there is a minimum amount for a delivery order:

1. Scroll to the option of: What is your minimum amount for delivery

2. Under the title is the Delivery Minimum number box

3. Type in the box the minimum amount for a delivery order

If there is a set delivery charge on delivered items:

1. Scroll to the option of: What is your delivery charge?

2. Under the title is a Delivery Charge number box as well the option for either a dollar amount or a percentage amount of the total order

3. Type in the base number in the text box

4. Click either the dollar amount or a percentage amount option

If delivery orders are available:

1. Scroll to the option: What is your delivery area?

2. Decide the maximum amount of area for the delivery coverage

3. Enter the maximum coverage rage into either the text box or click the Customize Zones text to bring up a window for a customized delivery area.

Delivery Area

The first option for the delivery area is a delivery radius, this allows you to for example deliver to any address or customer located anywhere within 5 miles of the store.


A second option is to enable and customize a delivery zone. To do this simply click



and in the popup window click. You are able to add many delivery zones each with differing subtotal and delivery charge requirements.
The image below depicts the ability to create multiple ordering zones, in this example there are two, the green and the purple. The settings offer the ability to customize the zones shape and also the payment information associated with delivery.

Also note that you can add multiple min-max options for the same geofence zone.




Set up the Geofencing(optional)

· Under the heading: what is delivery area, click the Customize zones option

· Move the cursor over the green circle to highlight the sixteen points of the outline

· Click and drag the individual points to match the custom area desired by the delivery range.

· Set the delivery charge for the zone

1. Set up a minimum subtotal for the zone

            2. Choose a delivery charge

Either a dollar amount or a percentage of the subtotal of the customer’s order

3. Enter a minimum subtotal in the box besides the heading: when subtotal is greater than or = to $

4. Enter a maximum limit subtotal in the box besides the heading: but less than or = to $

a. If there is to be no maximum limit click the no limit check bow beside the maximum subtotal limit’s number box

5. If there is to be another delivery charge for a different price range then click the text add another charge

a. This allows another charge range to be added

b. This can be used to create a lower delivery charge for customers that have a higher subtotal

6. When finished click save to save the zone that has been created

a. Ensure to click the save button when adding or editing a zone.

b. Once you save a zone in Geofencing or have at least one zone active for Geofencing the system will only crosscheck that zone or zones when customers enter their addresses

c. The system will not check the default settings for delivery radius, delivery charge and minimum delivery shown on the location profile page

7. To add an additional delivery zone click the: add a delivery zone button on the top of the Geofencing screen

a. The system will allow an unlimited number of delivery zones to be produced

8. Repeat prior steps with new delivery zone
